Alessandra Alonso - Shine People & Places

Alessandra Alonso is Director at SHINE PEOPLE& PLACES which she co-founded in 2004 to help organisations attract, develop and retain the best talent via coaching and mentoring, career development and management training.

Alessandra is a coach-mentor, trainer and facilitator and a familiar face to the MICE sector. She writes the coach column for Conference News and has run a variety of workshops for EIBTM, IMEX and C&IT’s Agency Forum.

Previously she held senior roles in KPMG, the World Travel and Tourism Council and Saudi-owned tourism infrastructure developer Air Harbour Technologies.

Alessandra also co-launched and run the highly successful UK SHINE AWARDS® in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality, now in its 4th year. She has taught on the MBA programme of the Lausanne Hotel School and was invited to speak at the 2007 United Nations’ World Tourism Day on Tourism and Gender Employment.

Alessandra is Italian mother tongue and speaks Spanish, English and German. She has an MBA from ENPC School in Paris and an MSc from the London School of Economic.
