Kate has worked at CMPi for almost 6 years. In that time she has worked her way through several different exhibition brands including; Safety & Health Expo, International Fire Expo; TFM; Call Centre Expo and launching Call Centre Executive Forum and Customer: Strategy & Management. She has now looked after the marketing for the Confex Group for 2 years which covers; International Confex; Blue & Green; venuefinder.com; and Event UK.

The phenomenal growth of International Confex, both in terms of visitor numbers and brand profile, can be largely placed at the feet of Kate Disley. The marketing campaign has been built both to reflect the excitement, style and contemporary nature of the industry today.

Through Kate, new changes to the show were projected into the public eye; creating excitement in the industry and ultimately building a visitor increase of a 16% increase in 2007 and a 27% in 2008 (ABC audited). Previously numbers had been falling and then were stagnant.

By strategically managing new ideas with a strong creative platform, Kate and her team bought the show to a wider audience through advertising on the London Underground, a focused PR presence, viral marketing and the creation of an attractive and information rich website, which saw a 94% increase in users.

She also built relationships with key industry associations, stakeholders and the media to maintain the shows dominance throughout the international event community.

Confex marketing now retains ‘a best in class’ reputation within the industry and Kate and her team are already looking to build on the already impressive results to date.
